In the summer of 2003, BGC Members Greg Fontana, Chris Carico and Chris
Warshaw flew to Portland to check out Pumpkin Ridge and other potential future
venues for a BGC major. Their fourth, the Kid, pulled up lame with a back
injury from the BarryBob (despite numerous warnings about the dangers of
volleyball). Fortunately, they found an able replacement with the newest
BGC member, Tim, Jr. Tim, Jr. played some great golf, always paid his
bets, and enjoyed bonding with the boys.
Despite the narrow tree-lined fairways, and slick
undulating greens, the foursome posted some of the best scores the Northwest has
ever seen. Click on the photos below to get a feel for this historic trip.
