The BGC Slow Play Policy

1. The tournament hosts will attempt to make each foursome as even as possible in terms of handicaps and will ensure that different members are put in the first group each tournament.

2. All groups are required to stay up with the group in front of them regardless of what the group behind is doing.

3. A group will be assessed a slow play penalty if they have not reached the 18th tee box before the group in front of them finishes their round.

4. It is the responsibility of the group finishing their round to check the 18th tee box and report any slow play violation to the President or Competition Chairman.

5. The penalties will be assessed on the next year's dues as follows:

1 penalty:  $10

2 penalties: $25

3 penalties: $45

4 penalties: $80
